Seasonal Cast Changes for 2026: Promotions, Departures, and Recasts

Last reviewed on April 28, 2026.

This page is a running, dated record of the cast changes we apply to existing Cast.biz pages during the 2026 production year. It exists so readers who have a specific show in mind can see, at a glance, what shifted on a cast list and which page now reflects the change. The mechanisms behind these moves — promotions, exits, recasts — are explained at length in How TV Casts Evolve Across Seasons; this page is the place we log them.

How to use this page

  • The entries are grouped by quarter, then by show.
  • Each entry summarises the change in one sentence and links to the cast page that already reflects it.
  • Changes are listed only after the production has confirmed them in publicly available materials, in line with our editorial standards.

Q1 2026 (January – March)

Q1 is typically a quiet quarter for cast moves: most US broadcast and streaming shows are deep into post-production on the previous year's season and have not yet locked the cast for the next. Where confirmed changes have applied to titles we track, we have updated the relevant cast pages and noted the change in the page's metadata.

Status by category

  • Promotions from recurring to series regular. No qualifying changes logged for tracked titles in Q1 2026.
  • Series-regular departures. No qualifying changes logged for tracked titles in Q1 2026.
  • Recasts. No qualifying changes logged for tracked titles in Q1 2026.

Where pages were updated for non-cast reasons — new season metadata, refreshed character notes, expanded production information — those changes are reflected in the “last reviewed” date on each page rather than logged here.

Q2 2026 (April – June)

Q2 typically picks up as productions for the autumn release window confirm casting decisions. As of this page's most recent review, no confirmed changes for tracked titles have been logged for Q2 2026 yet. New entries will appear here as productions confirm their casts and as we update the underlying cast pages.

Q3 2026 (July – September)

This quarter is reserved for entries logged later in the year. The page will be updated with confirmed changes when they happen.

Q4 2026 (October – December)

This quarter is reserved for entries logged later in the year. The page will be updated with confirmed changes when they happen.

What counts as a logged change

To keep this page useful rather than noisy, we log a change only when it meets all of the following:

  • It affects a title that already has a Cast.biz page.
  • It is confirmed by the production, the network, the streamer, or another source we treat as authoritative under our editorial standards.
  • It results in a meaningful update to the principal-cast or recurring-cast section of the page.

Day-player additions, single-episode guest appearances, and pre-production rumours do not appear here. Pilot-stage recasts are documented on the relevant cast page itself, with the wider mechanism explained on TV Show Pilots vs. Series Cast.

How we update this page

This page is reviewed at the end of each quarter, when accumulated cast changes from the prior period are summarised here. Between scheduled reviews, individual cast pages remain the source of truth: a change made to a Yellowstone or Severance page during the quarter will be reflected in that page's footer date even before the matching entry appears on this overview.

If you spot a confirmed cast change we have not logged, the contact page tells you what to send in. Cast.biz responds to corrections with the same workflow described in our editorial standards.
