Avatar Franchise Future

Avatar: The Way of Water is the second film in a planned five-film series. Avatar 3 (titled "Avatar: Fire and Ash") is scheduled for release on December 19, 2025, with Avatar 4 planned for December 21, 2029, and Avatar 5 for December 19, 2031. Principal photography for Avatar 3 was completed simultaneously with Avatar 2, and the returning cast has already filmed their scenes. James Cameron has stated that each sequel will explore different biomes of Pandora and introduce new Na'vi clans.
